Personnel Changes: LTC Group, Hancock, AmerUs

Ted White, chairman of Long Term Care Group Inc., says he is retiring.

LTC Group, Eden Prairie, Minn., administers more than 1 million long term care insurance policies.

White has been chairman of LTC Group since it was acquired from UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., in 1996.

Peter Goldstein, LTC Group’s executive vice president for business development, will be taking over as president, the company says.

In other personnel news:

- AmerUs Group Company, Des Moines, Iowa, has hired Christopher Littlefield, 39, to be executive vice president and general counsel.

Littlefield has been general counsel of The Dial Corp., Scottsdale, Ariz., since 2000.

Littlefield has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arizona and a law degree from the University of Iowa. He is chair-elect of the University of Arizona Alumni Association board.

- John Hancock Financial Services, Boston, has named Tyler Carr senior vice president of annuity bank distribution at John Hancock Financial Services. He previously was national sales manager for John Hancock U.S. College Savings.

Carr has a bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University and a master’s degree in business from the College of William and Mary.

Hancock is a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto.
