CIGNA Lowers N.J. And N.Y. HSA Plan Minimum

A Bloomfield, Conn., health carrier is marketing high-deductible plans to more Northeastern employers.[@@]

The carrier, CIGNA HealthCare, has started selling health savings account-based plans to New York and New Jersey carriers with 51 to 20 employees.

In the past, the company sold HSA-compatible plans in New York and New Jersey only to employers with at least 200 employees.

CIGNA HealthCare is a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia.
