Albemarle Corp.,
a $2 billion specialty chemical company in Baton Rouge, La., appointed Scott Tozier CFO and senior vice president. He replaces Richard Diemer, who resigned in August to become CFO at Styron. Richard Fishman, who has been interim CFO since Diemer left, will continue in his role as treasurer. Tozier, 44, is joining Albemarle from Honeywell International, where he most recently served as vice president of finance, operations and transformation. He spent 16 years in finance positions at Honeywell, after starting his career at Ernst & Young.

Stage Stores, the Houston-based operator of retail clothing chains including Bealls, Goody's, Palais Royal, Peebles and Stage, named Oded Shein CFO and executive vice president. He replaces Edward Record, who was appointed chief operating officer in February 2010, but retained the role of CFO while the company searched for his replacement. Shein, 49, has been vice president of finance at department store operator Belk since 2008, and earlier served as its treasurer. Before joining Belk, Shein worked for 14 years at Charming Shoppes, which owns the Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug chains, where his final position was treasurer. Stage Stores had $1.4 billion in revenue in 2009.

EnPro Industries, an $803 million maker of industrial machinery in Charlotte, N.C., hired Alexander Pease as senior vice president and said he will become CFO in May, when William Dries retires. Pease, 39, was previously a partner at McKinsey & Co., where he worked with clients on corporate finance and risk management projects. Before joining McKinsey in 2000, he spent six years as a U.S. Navy SEAL team leader.
