As our social media profiles become an ever-more important part of our personal and professional lives…what happens to them when we die? Facebook memorializes the profiles of dead users while Twitter deactivates accounts of dead users upon receiving verification. But there are a host of social media services popping up that will allow you to continue using Facebook or Twitter from beyond with pre-timed messages to send, and automated algorithms that will Tweet on your behalf based on a pattern of things you used to tweet about when you were alive. Whether this is all added value or just plain creepy remains to be seen.
