The Bureau of Economic Analysis is expanding a survey effort that looks at financial services transactions between U.S. financial services companies and non-U.S. persons.
The BEA, an arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce, discussed the survey program recently in a notice of proposed rulemaking published in the Federal Register.
The new BE-180, Benchmark Survey of Financial Services Transactions between U.S. Financial Services Providers and Foreign Persons, would replace the narrower BE-80, Benchmark Survey of Financial Services Transactions Between U.S. Financial Services Providers and Unaffiliated Foreign Persons, officials say in the preamble to the proposed rule.
