Curian Capital L.L.C. has hired Lloyd Sprague to be divisional vice president for the Eastern region.

Curian, Denver, is a unit of Prudential P.L.C., London, that sells fee-based separately managed account services to financial professionals.

Sprague previously was the West region divisional vice president at Transamerica Capital Inc., Denver, a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague Netherlands.

At Curian, Sprague will manage 15 external and internal regional business consultants, and he will oversee the training of Curian wholesalers, Curian says.

Sprague has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree in business from Suffolk University.
