A unit of American International Group Inc., New York, has sold a package of financial advice services to a Los Alamitos, Calif., financial institution.[@@]

The AIG unit, VALIC Financial Advisors Inc., Houston, says the financial institution, Tenet Federal Credit Union, has agreed to offer the services to all of its 18,000 members.

The credit union serves employees of hospitals owned by Tenet Healthcare Corp., Dallas, a large hospital company. The credit union also serves doctors affiliated with Tenet hospitals and other individuals with ties to Tenet.

The advice services will include a general review of a credit union member’s finance, a cash and debt analysis, and help with retirement planning, education savings planning, life insurance and estate planning, VALIC Financial says.
