Nationwide Names Bank One Veteran CFO

NU Online News Service, Jan. 22, 2004, 12:47 p.m. EST – Nationwide Financial Services Inc., Columbus, Ohio, has named M. Eileen Kennedy chief financial officer.[@@]

Kennedy, who also will be a senior vice president, succeeds Mark Thresher. Thresher is replacing Joseph Gasper as president of Nationwide. Gasper is retiring.

Kennedy has been the CFO at the Gartmore Group, Nationwide’s asset management company, since 2003. Before she began working for Nationwide, she was the treasurer of Bank One Corp., Chicago. She has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois.
