NU Online News Service, Dec. 16, 2003, 11:08 p.m. EST – The Life Insurance Council of New York Inc., New York, has promoted Diane Stuto to be executive vice president.[@@]

Stuto, who was a senior vice president at the council, will succeed Thomas Faist as head of the council’s office in Albany, N.Y.

Faist is returning to the private practice of law, the council says.

Stuto started at the council, which represents 64 life insurance companies, in 1990, as an assistant vice president. Previously, she was the legislative director for state Sen. Martin Solomon, who was the ranking member of the New York Senate Insurance Committee.

Stuto has a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany, and she is the mother of 6-year-old triplets.
