Equitable To Use Blue Frog Annuity Tool

NU Online News Service, April 25, 2003, 4:11 p.m. EDT – Blue Frog Solutions Inc., Pompano Beach, Fla., says Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, New York, a unit of AXA S.A., Paris, has agreed to use its ADMServer Product Profile For Annuities administrator tool to manage annuity product information.

Equitable will be using the tool to feed information about its annuities into annuity databases and annuity distribution systems in the new Product Profile for Annuities XML format.

XML is a set of rules for developing systems that can automatically label the pieces of information in an electronic data file.

The Association for Cooperative Research and Development, Pearl River, N.Y., and the National Association for Variable Annuities, Reston, Va., used XML to develop the PPfA format and other standards to help insurers share annuity product information.
