NU Online News Service, March 29, 1:13 p.m. – Coalition America Inc., Atlanta, a company that helps health plans run provider networks and transmit prices to doctors, has set up a Web-based claim-tracking service.

Users can search for claims reports by entering a patient’s name, Social Security number, repricing claim number, or billed charges.

The Coalition America claim reports gives information about the patient, information about the doctor, the status of the claim, and the price the health plan has agreed to pay for the services delivered.

Coalition America hopes to save users’ time by taking an unusual approach to handling queries for help.

Clients who need help can e-mail account representatives directly from a claim report screen. The e-mail automatically includes all information from the claim report screen, eliminating the need for the client to re-type or summarize the information, Coalition America says.
