LOS ANGELES—The world of commercial real estate—whether owning, developing, leasing, buying, selling, financing or managing—is perceived as an analog environment that is fundamentally adverse, if not confrontational to, the digital world. That is not to say that there has not been innovation in certain areas to disintermediate some transactional processes, but that is simply process improvement.

There has been advancement to improve interactivity between systems and people that has spawned use of the term “creative office” to apply to the removal of physical boundaries such as the drop ceiling, exterior offices, cubicles and floor coverings, as well as accommodating our pets as integral space users.
