Roby Named Starwood SVP of Sales for North America

WHITE PLAINS, NY-The former president and CEO of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau will head up the firm's North American division across all nine Starwood brands.

WHITE PLAINS, NY-Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has named Tim Roby senior vice president of sales for North America. In this role, Roby will lead Starwood’s North America division sales, field sales and catering and convention services teams for owned and managed hotels across all nine Starwood brands.

Roby will also be a key member of the global sales leadership team with a focus on emerging markets and international inbound business capitalizing on Starwood’s global growth. He will begin his new role, based here, in January and will report to Denise Coll, president of Starwood’s North America division.
