Phoenix’s First Westin Slated to Open in Early 2011

PHOENIX-The new 242-room hotel, located in the Freeport McMoRan Center, will open in February 2011.

PHOENIX-The city’s first Westin hotel will open in February 2011 in downtown. The new 242-room hotel, operated by White Plains, N.Y.-based Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., will be located in the Freeport McMoRan Center, a new 26-story, mixed-use complex.

Located at 333 North Central Ave. just one block from the Phoenix Convention Center, the Westin Phoenix Downtown will boast oversized guest rooms averaging 550 square feet, as well as a full suite of the Westin brand’s signature amenities and services such as the Heavenly Bed.
