MedCom Sells Office/Residential Building

AURORA, IL-MedCom Group LLC has sold its 13,000-square-foot office and residential building to Lloyd Hammer for $1 million. Faced with challenges, the company was looking to get the mixed-use building at 1730 N. Farnsworth in Aurora off its books and turned to commercial real estate advisory firm Sperry Van Ness LLC to dispose of it. The property offers five office and medical office units and eight residential apartments.

Both MedCom and Hammer were represented by Matt Chapdelaine, senior advisor, and Dan Elliot, advisor, both of Sperry, in the transaction. “We are very happy to have assisted MedCom Group in the sale of this asset,” Chapdelaine and Elliot say. “Considering the current market conditions it is encouraging to complete a transaction and have it go as smoothly as this did. Both parties in this transaction walked away extremely satisfied with the outcome.”

Chapdelaine and Elliot worked on the deal from the firm’s downtown Chicago office at 112 S.
