WHITE PLAINS-Kerry D. Hatch has become the highest-ranking woman at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. On Tuesday, the Rye resident was named president of Starwood’s St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and the Luxury Collection brands.Hatch comes to Starwood after serving as chief executive officer of New York City-based GoodTimes Entertainment, an independent home video distribution company, since 2004. She will report to Starwood CEO Steven J. Heyer.In her position at Starwood, Hatch will oversee all aspects of Starwood’s luxury St. Regis and the Luxury Collection flags. She will have overall profit and loss responsibility for the two brands and will also oversee operations, marketing, development and brand building, company officials say.”Kerry is that rare executive who is both an exceptional operator and marketer. I’m delighted to have her at the helm of our luxury products, which have huge upside potential for the company, as we further define and differentiate our brands and rapidly grow our footprint around the globe,” Heyer says. “During her more than two decades at American Express, Kerry took her business units and made them market leaders and important contributors to American Express. Kerry knows how to work in a large organization, yet possesses an entrepreneurial drive and a passion for winning which is culturally on point with the Starwood we are building.”Prior to joining GoodTimes in 2004, Hatch spent 22 years with American Express, including serving as president of OPEN: The Small Business Network from American Express. Prior to joining the small business division, she was senior vice president of customer acquisition for consumer cards and co-head of the U.S. Consumer Card Marketing. During her time at American Express she also served in the Establishment Services Group where she was senior vice president for business development. Hatch takes her new post as the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts brand prepares to open properties in a host of major markets later this year and beyond. The company is set to open St. Regis hotels in San Francisco this November and in Fort Lauderdale this December. Other notable St. Regis properties to open in the near future include: Anguilla (2007), Deer Valley, UT. (2007), Singapore (2007), Bali (2007) and Bal Harbour, FL. (2008). Starwood’s the Luxury Collection brand consists of 74 luxury hotels and resorts in 27 countries.
