Test Systems Co. Grows and Relocates in Garrett County

ACCIDENT, MD-Garrett County’s Central Garrett Industrial Park will soon welcome a new tenant now that local company Phenix Technologies Inc. has committed to building its new home in the 65-acre business compound. The high-voltage test systems provider will build a 68,000-sf manufacturing plant to replace its current digs at 116 Industrial Dr., also here. By choosing to build the new $3.5 million facility in the county, Phenix will be able to keep 70 jobs in the area, and add an additional 50 over the next four years.

“The decision by Phenix Technologies to expand and grow in Maryland is a real testament to the quality of life, business climate and skilled workforce offered by the State and Garrett County,” says Aris Melissaratos, Maryland secretary of business and economic development. “By giving companies the tools they need to grow and thrive, we are ensuring that Maryland’s economy continues to provide good, family-supporting jobs to the community.”
