Out-of-State Buyer Gets Northwest Building

HOUSTON-A private investor from Houston, now making plans to retire, has sold an empty 16,000-sf industrial building at 5097 Ashley Court in the Brittmoore Tanner Business Park to a Louisiana businessman.

The nine-year-old building in the northwest submarket was on the market about six months before going under contract to James Strickland, Troy Collins with Yancey-Hausman in Houston tells GlobeSt.com. He and Clay Pritchett, also with Yancey-Hausman, represented the building owner in the sale.

Collins, mum about the selling price, says the building was on the market for $44 per sf. The Harris County Appraisal District assesses the 1.3-acre asset at $363,390.

Collins said Strickland’s offer was the first solid offer placed during the marketing period. Grady Farris with Houston Industrial Brokerage represented the buyer. Collins says the new owner will use the facility for his business, but he’s not talking about the nature of the operation.
