Construction Underway on Kearny Mesa Project

KEARNY MESA, CA-A new office facility is rising at 5395 Ruffin Rd. Ruffin Road in Kearny Mesa, as construction is currently underway on Barone Development’s project here.

The office development is slated for completion in September of 2003. At build-out, it will encompass two stories and 24,780 sf. Design plans call for concrete tilt panels incorporating solar green glass, radius canopy and elevated curtain wall elements. Parking areas will border the building, which will make use of a large retaining wall to balance out the slope of the adjacent street.

Bearing Construction is the general contractor on the project, with Harper Construction Inc. serving as the construction manager. KMA Architecture & Engineering is acting as the project architect, as well as the electrical and plumbing engineer. Nowak + Wiseman is providing structural engineering services and Latitude 33 is working as the civil engineer. The landscape architect is ONA Inc.
