Men's Wearhouse, Starbucks Line Up New Locations

HOUSTON-The Men’s Wearhouse is headed to a spot in Beaumont, northeast of Houston, while Starbucks has signed for its 59th location in Houston.

The Men’s Wearhouse, a Fremont, CA-based specialty retailer, has leased 6,500 sf in The Shops at Dowlen, located at 5854 Eastex Freeway in Beaumont. The popular men’s retailer has 471 other locations in the US. Nick Hernandez of Boyd Page represented The Men’s Wearhouse in the deal. Michael Thum of The Seitz Group acted on the building owner’s behalf.

In an unrelated transaction, Starbucks Corp. has leased 1,951 sf at 21503 Tomball Parkway and Jones Road in the Tomball Parkway Shopping Center in far northwest Houston. W. Loch Cook of Boyd Page represented Starbucks in the lease negotiations. Chad Moss was the in-house representative for his company, Property Commerce.

The Seattle-based specialty coffee retailer operates 59 Starbucks locations in Houston in addition to its Internet-based coffee bean distribution business and packaged coffees sold in area grocery stores.
