Former Police Chief Joins Capri's Office

DETROIT-Benny N. Napoleon is appointed executive vice president of Capri Capital's new office. The former Detroit police chief is in charge investment management and business strategy development for pension funds.

DETROIT-Benny N. Napoleon has recently joined Chicago-based Capri Capital as executive vice president. Overseeing Capri’s newly established office at 1407 Randolph St., Napoleon will be responsible for the marketing and client servicing of Capri’s institutional investment management capabilities and business strategy development for pension funds in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Additional functions will include the marketing of Capri’s Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other government agency related products for real estate owners and investors in the state of Michigan.

Most recently, Napoleon was the Detroit police chief. He was with the department for 26 years. Prior to that, he practiced law as a sole practitioner in Detroit.

The company is a diversified real estate investment firm engaged in institutional advisory and mortgage capital businesses. The company also has offices in Arlington, VA; Irvine, CA and Walnut Creek, CA.
