GMAC Subsidiary Signs Vignette for Mortgage Origination Web Site

AUSTIN-Mortgage lender and GMAC subsidiary DiTech has selected Austin-based Vignette Corp.’s V/5 e-business application platform to initiate its mortgage origination Web site.

DiTech’s site allows customers to complete the loan process online and by phone. The mortgage company’s offers online credit reports and financial calculators, a daily update of loan status and an e-appraisal service. Vignette’s e-business application platform has been selected by DiTech because the company is experiencing a high volume of online customer inquiries. Vignette’s application will allow DiTech to quickly deploy new features and personalize the content of the site.

Vignette Corp. is a supplier of e-business applications to enable businesses to facilitate high-volume transaction exchanges with suppliers and partners. The company has offices throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.

GMAC Mortgage, based in Horsham, PA, had purchased the five-year-old DiTech last year. DiTech is headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA. Last year, it had originated $4.3 billion in loans.
