Northface Will Build New Office Building in Route 1 Corridor

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ-The thriving but tight Route 1, Princeton-to-New Brunswick corridor is getting another class A office property to help meet the strong demand for space. Northface Properties, based in Piscataway, NJ, will build a spec office building on Route 1 here, and the company is targeting smaller users. The 24,000-sf facility will provide tenant spaces beginning at 3,000 sf, but is also also available for single tenant use.

Locally based architect Wayne Lerman, president of WML Architecture will design the two-story building for Northface, which develops commercial and residential properties throughout New Jersey.

“We feel there is a demand for all kinds of office space in this market,” according to Rafael Sharon, a partner in Northface. “And there is demand for class A office space in particular.”

Site plan approval has been obtained, and “we are discussing leasing opportunities with potential tenants,” according to Sharon.
