West Tele-Services Opening 35,000-SF Call Center, Adding 1,000 Jobs to Beaumont

BEAUMONT, TX-A small town gets an economic boost from an Omaha-based company, which is opening a call center that will bring 1,000 jobs to the community. Work is under way on the 35,000-sf facility that is expected to open in January.

BEAUMONT, TX-A small Texas town, situated 88 miles east of Houston, is all smiles with a major corporation’s pact to open a customer contact center in a move that will bring nearly 1,000 jobs.

West TeleServices Corporation has signed a five-year lease, with options, for a 35,000-sf facility at 4645 Concord Rd. in Beaumont. West is currently renovating its leased space, and expects to open for business in January 2001. The job center will carry an annual payroll ranging from $16 million to $18 million. West is headquartered in Omaha with centers in 12 states.
