OfficeTempo Offers Web-Based Services to Businesses

BOSTON-Locally-based OfficeTempo has begun providing procurement and office solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. The solutions are provided via web access to a marketplace, a remote call center and on-site sales and service center.

“We are creating a service business that enables owners to extend enhanced business services to tenants,” Paul Hardy, CEO of the company, tells GlobeSt.com. “Landlords have a unique asset that they haven’t monetized.”

OfficeTempo proposes to help landlords realize their value by providing tenants with access to business products and services at a significant cost savings because of aggregated purchasing demand. The products and services are provided directly through a web marketplace supported by local account service managers. Products and services include basic office supplies as well as catering, gifts, office furniture and equipment. The company plans to offer computer hardware and software as well as temporary office help and travel in the near future. Landlords receive a royalty based on what is purchased by their tenants.

OfficeTempo also hosts building-specific content on its site such as building activities, policies, procedures and security. In addition, the company’s in-house support will provide customized cost management analyses for office managers as well as an inventory of fast-moving items. The service is in its Beta program and is currently only available in the Boston market.
