Six Crescent Resorts Take Top Industry Awards

FT. WORTH-Six Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. properties have been accorded honors by respective trade organizations.

In Texas, The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center has received a Gold Key for consistent excellence and Gold Tee for outstanding golf and meeting facilities by Meetings& Conventions. The Woodlands is a 27,000-acre mixed-use development.

Arizona’s Canyon Ranch is considered the World’s Best by Travel & Leisure magazine. The destination health and fitness resort is located in Tucson. Also in Arizona, the Desert Mountain has been selected as the Best Golf Course in the world by the Robb Report. The 8,000-acre country club community is in the Sonoran Desert in Scottsdale. The resort recently had copped an honor as the Top Country Club in the state by the Club Leaders Forum in its 2000 Platinum Clubs of America ranking.

The Ventana Inn & Spa, in Big Sur, CA has been named to the Gold List Issue of Conde Nast Traveler and its Cielo Restaurant has made the Mobil Travel Guide’s Four Star roster for the 16th consecutive year. The ocean-side Ventana is in the Santa Lucia Mountains and positioned 1,200 feet above the Pacific Ocean.

The Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, located in the Sonoma Valley just 40 miles north of San Francisco, also has received a Mobil “Four Star” ranking plus AAA “Four Diamond” honor for 2000. For three consecutive years, the Sonoma development has been accorded a “Best Resort Spa” status by Gourmet magazine.

Colorado’s Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek is a recipient of Conde Nast’s Reader’s Choice Award for the fifth consecutive year. The Allegria Spa, for two years in a row, has been ranked as the state’s Best Spa by the Denver Post’s Best of Colorado list. The project is a 1,700-acre mountain resort in Beaver Creek Village.
