New Retail Center in Offing for Quiet Crowley, TX

No tenants yet, but the development JV plans to break ground next summer.

CROWLEY, TX—A rural North Texas town has caught the eyes of two formidable North Texas developers who are planning to develop a retail center on 17 acres. Woodmont Corp. and Mercantile Partners also have an option to buy an adjacent 30-acre tract, where development has gotten a boost from a decision to relocate a road in south Tarrant County.

Construction is slated to begin in summer 2001 for the Shoppes of Deer Creek although no tenants have been signed for the first development phase. A Woodmont spokesman says the center will include a national grocer, retail and restaurant tenants. The joint venture bought the 17-acre parcel from Stone Gate Village for an undisclosed sum.
