FEMA Takes 50,000 SF in Short-Term LI Lease

LAKE SUCCESS, NY-It was a short-term deal that needed to be executed on short notice, and a CBRE team did just that for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The General Services Administration is taking 50,000 square feet at Nassimi Realty‘s 2500 Marcus Avenue here, where FEMA will house supplies intended to assist Northeast residents affected by superstorm Sandy.

“Working closely with the ownership, GSA and FEMA, we were able to respond swiftly and completed the lease in just a few days,” says CBRE’s Paul Leone, who with colleague David Leviton represented Nassimi, in a release. “This timing was ideal for FEMA and shows ownership’s ability to react quickly to the agency’s space requirements.” Mark Greenspan of CBRE spoke on behalf of FEMA.
