Dexus, SCE Plan 10-Megawatt Rooftop Solar Installation

PERRIS, CA-The solar panels, on more than 1.6 million square feet of rooftop space under a 20-year lease with Southern California Edison, will produce enough power for 5,200 homes.

PERRIS, CA-DEXUS Property Group has leased more than 1.6 million square feet of rooftop space on an industrial building here to Southern California Edison for 20 years for SCE to install a solar power system capable of generating up to 10 megawatts of electricity at peak capacity. The new solar station will be part of a network of solar plants SCE is building through Southern and Central California, according to an announcement from DEXUS regarding the installation. Electricity generated by these installations will be transferred directly into the neighboring SCE energy grid through more than a dozen groups of inverters and transformers built alongside the building.
