[IMGCAP(1)]LOS ANGELES-Office tenants in Downtown L.A. and the Miracle Mile have signed new leases for a total of 44,251 square feet, according to building owners and brokers involved in the deals. Los Angeles Center Studios in Downtown L.A. signed two tenants to deals totaling 30,000 square feet, and the Ratkovich Co. signed software firm Mitratech Holdings to a deal for 14,251 square feet at 5900 Wilshire Blvd. in the Miracle Mile district.

[IMGCAP(2)]The two tenants who signed at Los Angeles Center Studios (LACS) are Current TV and InVisM. Current TV is a news and information media company that is relocating to Downtown L.A. InVisM is a gaming and video company that provides training, education, and operational solutions for both government and commercial applications.

With the signing of these deals, the long-term offices at LACS are more than 95% occupied. LACS is situated on 20 acres and features six 18,000-sf sound stages and one swing stage, as well as 450,000 sf of short- and long-term class A office space for entertainment-related and creative companies. It is an independent studio and entertainment campus that specializes in creative office space as well as full-service studios for television, film and commercial production.

In the Mitratech lease at 5900 Wilshire, Transwestern vice president Suzanne Lee and executive managing director Jonathan Larsen–who represented Mitratech–report that the tenant signed a new long-term lease for its space in the 31-story, 500,000-square-foot office tower. Mitratech specializes in legal operations management software for more than 100 of the Fortune 500 companies. The Ratkovich Co. was represented by Deron White of CB Richard Ellis.
