CARTERET, NJ-Women’s apparel and accessory designer Tory Burch has leased 88,866 sf at ProLogis’ 50 Middlesex Ave. building within that company’s Port Reading Business Park at Exit 12 of the New Jersey Turnpike here. The New York City-based Tory Burch will use the space as a distribution hub for its boutiques and for its customer service operations, and plans to be operational at the site in time for the 2008 holiday season.

The tenant was represented by Frank Truesdell, SVP in the Morristown, NJ office of Binswanger; ProLogis was represented by Frank Caccavo and Jason Goldman of Cushman & Wakefield. Terms were not released.

“The combination of a highly accessible location in a high-quality new construction building in tandem with ownership’s aggressive and professional pursuit of this tenant made 50 Middlesex Ave. a logical choice for Tory Burch,” says Truesdell in a statement.

With the lease, the 360,000-sf 50 Middlesex Ave. is now fully occupied. Originally approved for construction in late 2004 by previous owner Catellus, the building is part of the 3.2-million-sf Port Reading Business Park, all of which became part of ProLogis’ portfolio when it acquired Catellus a few years ago.
