Jarmel Kizel Acquires Mihalik Firm

LIVINGSTON, NJ-Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, based here, has acquired J.A. Mihalik Architect, also based here. Details of the deal were not disclosed. A statement issued by Jarmel Kizel termed it part of the firm’s “ongoing strategy of bringing the best resources and talent to the firm to service its growing client base.”

Matthew Jarmel, principal o Jarmel Kizel notes that “we have previously collaborated with Justin Mihalik on several projects. We have watched his firm excel over the past several years. Justin is a talented architect and business leader who will contribute to our growth in the marketplace. We look forward to his leadership and contributions.”

A specialist in residential, retail and mixed-use projects, Mihalik will manage the firm’s retail roll-out studio, which focuses on the design of small commercial buildings, retail strips and single-tenant net lease projects. He will also manage the roll-out studio for the Learning Experience, a childcare and education facility, and will take on the responsibility of principal-in-charge of operations.
