BMC Capital Enters San Diego Market

SAN DIEGO-BMC Capital LP, a Dallas-based lender, will open an office here early next month. BMC Capital’s new office will focus on multifamily and SBA mortgage originations, according to Fabio Fanelli, who is the newly appointed vice president for the company’s Southern California region and will manage its local office.Fanelli tells Globest.com that BMC Capital is in an expansion mode and the San Diego opening is part of that growth model. “We have offices from San Francisco to Atlanta and are looking for other key locations to target triple net and multifamily opportunities,” Fanelli says. According to Fanelli, this expansion represents a further strengthening of BMC’s position as the nation’s top commercial mortgage broker for the $500,000 to $10-million sector. The local office is the second of several planned for BMC in the West Coast. Another area in BMC’s sights is Las Vegas, adds Fanelli. “We are excited to offer our services in Southern California,” says Jonathan Morris, BMC’s president. “And Fabio is well established in the San Diego market and brings a large contact base and local knowledge to the BMC.” Prior to his hiring, Fanelli had worked in the area as a corporate attorney, representing such firms as Marcus & Millichap in their land use and entitlement projects.”Our intention is to position BMC as the one stop shop for all small loan types in San Diego,” Fanelli says. “Within several months we hope to establish ourselves as a top-two player in the market.”
