WASHINGTON, DC-One Metro Center, a one-year-old office property offering 416,000 sf of space, has caught the eye of White & Case LLP, which has signed on for approximately 118,000 sf at the 12-story office tower. While the financials of the deal are not known, the terms of the law firm’s lease agreement–orchestrated by Spaulding & Slye Colliers’ Tom Doughty, Greg McCavera and Tim Friemel on behalf of the tenant–is for a 15-year period. Building owner and developer Tishman Speyer Properties’ Dan Dooley markets space at One Metro Center for $30 to $36 per sf, according to Black’s Guide.

Located in the city’s central business district at 701 13th St., One Metro Center was developed for about $140 million atop an existing Hecht’s Department Store. White & Case will relocate to the office facility from its current location nearby at 601 13th St.

“One Metro Center was chosen because it offered the ideal combination of location, growth opportunity, quality office space, and excellent building ownership for the firm,” says White & Case Washington office executive partner Victor DeSantis. In May, law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips announced its plans to relocate to a 25,500-sf space at One Metro Center.
