Mack Truck Gets Another 76,000 SF in Rock Run

JOLIET, IL-A 248,000-sf building owned by Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association here will be expanded by 76,000 sf to accommodate its tenant, Mack Truck, Inc. Mack Truck uses the building at 3900 Rock Creek Blvd. as a warehouse and distribution center for Mack and Volvo truck parts.

The TIAA Real Estate Account paid $10.2 million for the building in 2001, then leased it to Mack Truck at $3.33 per sf. It was built by Atlanta-based IDI, developer of the Rock Run Business Park, near the I-80 interchange at Houbolt Road. Tenants in the business park include Madison Warehouse, a third-party food distribution company that leases 423,006 sf in two buildings.
