LOS ANGELES-CB Richard Ellis has promoted EVP R. Todd Doney to the position of vice chairman, according to Lew Horne, who oversees the Greater Los Angeles Region for the real estate services firm.Horne cited Doney’s 20-year career in commercial real estate and the more than 25 million sf of office space transactions he has completed. Before joining CBRE, the new vice chairman formerly was an executive managing director with Insignia/ESG. Before Insignia/ESG, he was an SVP with Cushman Realty Corp. in Los Angeles for 14 years. In the last six months, Doney and his team have completed more than 55 transactions totaling more than 1.6 million sf with an aggregate value in excess of $300 million. In 2003, the team was involved in Downtown Los transactions including Bank of America’s relocation to 333 S. Hope St. and the sale of the 1.1 million-sf AON Center at 707 Wilshire Blvd. to Transwestern Investment Co. for more than $120 million. Doney and his team, also named as leasing agents for the project, represent both institutional landlords and tenants.
