DALLAS-An executive vice president with CB Richard Ellis Inc. in Dallas has won the 2003 Stemmons Award, presented at Friday night’s gala sponsored by the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.

Jack Fraker, CBRE’s executive vice president of investment properties, was in competition with Carl Ewert, executive vice president of the Staubach Co. and a pair of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. senior directors, Rick Hughes and Bill McClung. The Stemmons Award, which debuted in 1976, is considered the top honor in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. This year, as in years past, the gala packed the house at the Dallas Museum of Art in the downtown.

“It is an honor to be selected by my peers to receive the Stemmons Service Award. There are so many worthy candidates, especially this year’s other finalists,” Fraker said in a statement released this morning. “The Stemmons family has been such an important part of Dallas’ history and growth. They represent high ideals and they have contributed significantly to the community. I will work hard to be a good example of all that is important in our industry–professionalism, integrity, client service and community service. This award is a career milestone for me.”

Fraker, with more than two decades in commercial real estate, has been a leading local and national broker of industrial product. His black book of clients represents practically every top name on the institutional circuit. He has leased or sold in excess of 145 million sf and 1,500 acres of developable sites in more than 50 US cities, Mexico and South America. He is the team leader for his industrial investment advisory team and manages the industrial investment sector of CBRE’s Institutional Group. Prior to joining CBRE, he was an EVP at C&W, where he was ranked as the top producer in Dallas for the last decade and consistently placed in the Top 10 nationally.
