LONDON-Sterling Capitol and St James Securities have won the development rights to a 190-acre business spark in Goole, Yorkshire. Regional development agency Yorkshire Forward selected the duo with their plans for a business park–which will be known as Centrepoint–on around 190 acres of a 310-acre site.

A mix of uses is planned, including distribution and manufacturing units as well as offices and leisure facilities. A planning application is expected to be submitted within eight weeks, with construction work set to start in Spring 2004.

Eileen Molloy, head of property development at Yorkshire Forward, says: “The overall response to the development partnerships programme has been exceptional and has enabled Yorkshire Forward to let the private sector take an active role in the region’s future economic development.”
