Bancomer Sets Up 2,322-SF Back Office

HOUSTON-One of Mexico’s largest banks, BBVA Bancomer, has taken over 2,322 sf for a back office and disaster recovery center in a medium-term commitment to 15915 Katy Freeway in West Houston.

Robert S. Parsley and Coy D. Davidson, both in the Houston office of Colliers International, represented the bank. Davidson tells GlobeSt.com that the location is housing back-office functions and serving as a disaster recovery center. He says recovery centers must be a set distance from the primary locations which, in the bank’s case, are located in the Galleria and Greenspoint submarkets. Bancomer operates more 1,600 branches in Mexico, offering a full gamut of services for commercial and residential customers.

The owner of record for the 104,515-sf, 21-year-old office building is Transwestern Katy Freeway LP. Greg Tilton in the Houston office of Transwestern Commercial Services represented the building owner in the lease negotiations.
