PHOENIX-Phoenix-based architectural and interior firm Archicon L.C. will relocate its offices into 9,320 sf in mid-town’s 4041 Central Plaza. It’s a move some believe reflects a renewed interest in the city’s Central Business District.

‘We’re seeing a lot more tenants look on Central – not only small tenants but some real credit tenants,” John Bonnell, managing director with Insignia/ESG, tells GlobeSt.com. “People are starting to take a look at Central and see all these amenities at a price that’s real value and that’s what tenants are looking for right now.”

Bonnell says the architectural firm could have opted for a Camelback Corridor location but found the amenities at its new location, including 24-hour security, on-site management and an in-house deli, to be well worth the $1.05-million price on a six year lease.

“The tenant realized the value that 4041 Central Plaza had to offer with the recent project renovation, it’s close proximity to numerous restaurants, the new Steele Indian School Park as well as it’s proximity to the future light rail, all at a very competitive price,” says Bonnell. “It’s truly a great value if you understand the benefits of the location with the price.”

The property, which was renovated in 2000, is owned by SSR Realty Company. Bonnell, along with Director Don Mudd and Associate Jason Moore represented the building’s landlord. Dave Heiple of Heiple Real Estate Services brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant.

Archicon L.C. will relocate from its existing offices at 3707 N. 7th St. into the Central Plaza complex in January.
