Burnham Exec Moves from Brokerage to Management

SAN DIEGO-Mike Philbin has been promoted to the position of managing director of transaction services for Burnham Real Estate Services. Philbin will be responsible for overseeing all sales and leasing activity by the Burnham transaction services group, whose professionals generated more than $1.2 billion in transaction volume in 2000. The firm serves all commercial real estate product types: office, industrial/warehouse, research and development, and retail.

“There is no one in San Diego that is better suited than Mike to oversee our entire transaction services group,” says Stath Karras, Burnham’s president and CEO. “Mike has more than two decades of commercial real estate and management experience.”

For the past 11 years, Philbin has been a senior vice president with Burnham Real Estate Services, providing management oversight to the firm’s UTC office. Prior to that, he was a senior marketing consultant specializing in industrial/R&D sales and leasing with Grubb & Ellis in San Diego.
