Semiconductor Provider Takes Another 47,000 SF for Warehouse Space

FRANKLIN TWP., NJ-Emcore Corp., which provides semiconductor chips for the communications industry, has leased 47,000 sf here for a five-year period. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The space is adjacent to the company’s existing 75,000 sf of manufacturing and 38,000 sf of office space. The new lease gives the firm a unified three-building compound totaling 160,000 sf on Pierce Street in this Somerset County community.

A. Paul March, first VP of CB Richard Ellis’ Iselin, NJ office, represented Emcore in all three transactions. “Emcore is a growing company” he says. “The space will be used for component storage and other purposes and should increase the efficiency of their operations.”

Tom Sullivan, a senior VP, also at CBRE’s Iselin office, represented the owner of the property, Connecticut-based Times Square Real Estate Investors Inc., in the latest transaction.
