TA Associates Realty Sells Greater Chicago Industrial Portfolio

CHICAGO, IL – TA Associates Realty, a Boston-based pension fund advisor, has sold its Greater Chicago Industrial Portfolio, which consists of nine buildings and totals 1.5 million sf. The portfolio is comprised of primarily bulk distribution and light industrial facilities with an overall occupancy of 93 percent. CenterPoint Properties, a real estate investment trust based in Oak Brook, IL, purchased the portfolio for an undisclosed amount.

The portfolio is well located in the greater Chicago area’s strongest industrial submarkets including southern Cook County, western Cook County, northeast DuPage County, central DuPage County and Lake County, all of which have single digit vacancies.

The largest property in the portfolio is the Pampered Chef building located in Addison, IL. The bulk industrial building was developed on more than 25 acres and totals 450,000 sf.
