JonesLangLaSalle Starts 200,000-SF Building in Planned 800,000-SF Office Hub

ORLANDO-JonesLangLaSalle is shooting for an August 2001 completion on Millenia Lake 1, the first 200,000-sf building under construction in the developer’s planned 800,000-sf office hub. The site is at the 400-acre mixed-use Millenia venture centered around a new Interstate 4 interchange in southwest Orlando.

The estimated hard construction cost of the six-story building is $30 million. The structure overlooks the 40-acre Tropical Lake on the east side of Interstate 4. Completion is tentatively scheduled for August 2001. Kelsey Construction Inc. is the general contractor.

Another developer, St. Joe Co., plans to break ground at an undetermined date in 2001 on a five-story, 175,000-sf office building off Keller Road near suburban Maitland Center. The estimated hard construction cost of the project is $26 million.

Locally-based Hunton Brady Pryor Maso Architects designed the building. The Orlando office of Advantis Inc., a St. Joe company, will lease the property.
