Ruby Tuesday, BJ Wholesale Club Potential Tenants at Planned 56-Acre Mixed-Use Development

MOORESVILLE, NC-The project, 30 miles north of Charlotte, could have some doors open by Thanksgiving. The venture has been approved for 200 apartments, office and warehouse.

MOORESVILLE, NC—With components still in the planning stages and development commitments to be worked out, the 56-acre mixed-use development near Mooresville, NC is moving ahead with restaurant and retail construction.

According to RealtiCorp Commercial Investment Fund, a restaurant deal with Tennessee-based Ruby Tuesday Inc. appears imminent. The development is also to include a BJ Wholesale Club, up to 200 apartments, office and warehouse.

About 20 acres would be devoted to this so-called flex space. To date, however, no contracts have been signed to develop these buildings.

The BJ Warehouse store will be the second in the Charlotte area for the Massachusetts-based company. Its first store in the region opened last year in Pineville, NC. The 108,000-sf Mooresville store is expected to be open by Thanksgiving.
