$22-Mil Summit Healthplex Opening in October

COWETA COUNTY, GA-The $22-million, 82,000-sf Summit Healthplex, underwritten by 125 individual investors, is scheduled to open in October near Newnan, GA, about 45 miles south of Atlanta. Newnan-based OutMed conceived the idea for the three-story project.

Nine different medical groups are setting up practices in Summit Healthplex, which has a broad array of amenities, including a family medical practice, orthopedic, sports, industrial and internal medicine along with urgent care, pain management, physical therapy and diagnostic imaging.

OutMed is leasing the building to Newnan Hospital, which is leasing space to physicians and medical clinics. Summit Healthplex plans a staff of 100. Rental rates are in the $16 per sf to $18 per sf range.
