The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Americaannounced that House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., willaddress its membership during the group's April legislativeconference in Washington.
|IIABA said Mr. Hoyer will be a featured speaker at a breakfastApril 26 along with House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo.
|The meeting is scheduled for April 25-27 at the Marriott WardmanPark Hotel.
|Rep. Hoyer, now in his 14th term in the House ofRepresentatives, is the longest-serving House member from southernMaryland in history. Prior to being elected majority leader, Mr.Hoyer served two terms as Democratic whip.
|The conference, IIABA said, will include an in-depth issuesbriefing session, the annual IIABA congressional reception onCapitol Hill, numerous speakers and an industry trade show.
