Aspen Moves into Aviation Line
|NU Online News Service, Sept. 3, 11:55 a.m.EST?Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited todaysaid its unit in the United Kingdom will expand its London marketinsurance portfolio by recruiting a new team to develop an aviationinsurance account from 2005.[@@]
|Aspen Insurance UK Limited will offer the new coverages nextyear.
|Aspen chief executive Chris O'Kane said the move into aviationinsurance is part of a strategy to grow the company's complextechnical lines to help balance the portfolio.
|"We are recruiting a team with a strong underwriting track witha reputation for excellent levels of service that will matchAspen's philosophy," he said.
|London-based Nick Bonnar will head the underwriting operationwith team leader John Henderson, according to Aspen.
