AMS Integrates Rating With Marshall &Swift/Boeckh

AMS Services Inc. announced that Marshall & Swift/BoeckhsResidential Component Technology (RCT) is now available as anembedded component of AMS Ratings QuoteWorks for personallines.

The new product is now available to existing QuoteWorks andMarshall & Swift/Boeckh subscribers at no charge.

AMS said the combined product delivers a streamlined workflow toagencies by allowing a customer service representative to obtainhome valuation as part of the quote without interrupting theprocess.

The new embedded version of RCT looks and feels like QuoteWorksand stores the valuation data with the client quote information inthe same database. Up until now, AMS said, an agency had to exitthe rating system and re-enter duplicate data in the valuationtool, slowing down the sales process.

Salil Donde, senior vice president and general manager ofWindsor, Conn.-based AMS Rating, said, “Accurate replacement costestimation is an important part of making sure the homeowner isinsured for the proper amount. With this release of QuoteWorks weare now able to provide our agency customers with an integratedworkflow that includes RCT replacement cost functionality.”

Peter Wells, senior vice president of New Berlin, Wis.-basedMarshall & Swift/Boeckh, said, “Because RCT preparescomponent-based estimates using a homes unique characteristics andlocal material and labor costs, policyholders receive a moreaccurate replacement cost valuation.”
