It's difficult to throw away a comfortable pair of jeans or afavorite sweatshirt. We grow attached to things and they becomepart of our identity. But sometimes we have to move on.

Tech-Decisions.com is now officially in that "moving on"stage.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 10, all the content that you normallyfind at the Tech Decisions Web site will now be found--with a wholelot more--at our newonline home. For the next few weeks the Tech Decisions Web sitewill remain open for business, but all of our content will also be populating the Technologychannel of PropertyCasualty360.com. You are invited to go to thenew Web site and check out the soft launch of the site.

The portal connects all the publications and Web sites that makeup the Property Casualty Group of our parent company, SummitBusiness Media. It will be an all-inclusive source for P&Cnews, analysis, trends, and industry activity. It will enableprofessionals at all levels of the industry to understand and reactto the market challenges they face.

In addition to the tech news and trends you've come to expectfrom us, you will receive information on the claims segment of theP&C industry from the editors of Claims magazine. You'll find information on the agency and brokerage channel fromthe editors of American Agent & Broker. You'll getinformation on what is happening in the always volatile Floridamarket from the editors of Florida Underwriter. And ofcourse you will find out just about everything you need to knowabout insurance from the editors of National UnderwriterP&C.

Before we go any further, this refers to the TechDecisions online presence only. Tech Decisionsmagazine is not going away. The publishing industry ischanging--there's no argument there--but our readers havecontinually spoken of their desire for a print publication and weare not going to abandon that channel.

But just as technology has drastically changed insurance overthe last decade, the news and information channels have changed forpublications such as ours thanks to the Internet.

Our first Web site offered nothing more than the current issueof our monthly magazine. You got your insurance technologyinformation every four weeks and that was it.

We've steadily grown into an online news and information sourceover the years. Our Web site has even been a precursor to the newPropertyCasualty360.com portal in that we have taken advantage ofthe strong industry knowledge from our NationalUnderwriter P&C sister publication with industrynews sections on our Web site and in our weekly e-newsletterdevoted to industry news beyond the IT department.

We've continually written over the last five years about theimportance of getting IT people to understand the entire businessoperation and now we are following through with it in the form ofPropertyCasualty360.com. All your industry news--including thetechnology news you've come to expect--will be there.
